Mystery Dungeon: Summer 2010

Mystery Dungeon is a 2-3 month long event (loosely based off of the Mystery Dungeon console games) in which players split up into two groups (the Red Rescue Team and the Blue Rescue Team) and compete in various missions to earn points for their respective teams. The team with the most points at the end of the event wins!

Earning Points

For now, there are three ways in which you can earn points for your team:

Participate in missions. Different missions offer different opportunities. There are massive amounts of points to be earned here, and so missions have the potential to drastically change the tides of the competition. Do what you can to help your team meet their mission-based objectives!
Play party-enabled activities. For each party-enabled activity that you complete, 1 point will be added to your team's total. Don't underestimate the weight of these points on your team's score- they add up!
Support your team! You can earn indivdual points by simply helping your team and showing up for missions whenever you can throughout the event. These points are handed out at MY discretion to members that I see actively participating.

Ranks and Rewards

So, what do you get from all of this anyways? Well, for each mission that your team completes and/or wins, various rewards are added to the team's prize vault, to be claimed once the event is over and a winning team has been determined. Depending on your team and rank, you will be allowed to claim a certain number of prizes from the prize vaults.

You won't know what prizes are being added to your team's prize vault until the very end, but here are some examples of what's at stake:

Your rank is determined by your individual points, or the points that you have contributed to your team through party-enabled activities. The more points you have, the higher your rank. The lowest rank is "normal" rank, while the highest rank is that of the MVP, which is a single player from each team that has earned the most individual points.
